Sirens of the jook joints, anthemic wonders of the barrel houses, madams of Storyville, all simmer and quiver in delight at being beckoned through the champagne oracle. ​ Hear the words of Memphis Minnie, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Bessie Smith, Dinah Washington, Clara Smith, Victoria Spivey brought back to life, as we perform these revered songs about Sex, Death, Whiskey and Love. ​ The band consists of some of London's most seasoned musicians, who have played for the likes of Kula Shaker, Alabama Three, Bollinger Champagne, Hackney Empire and The BBC, led by singer Kerri Layton, who also runs independent record label Dixiebird Records.
